Summary

In a world where possessing supernatural powers is akin to being cursed, those who use magic are seen as tainted. Addicts, maniacs, and killers, individuals hardwired to act on selfish instinct. They are largely hated and persecuted. The majority of the population holds on to the belief that these individuals are a plague to society and must be exterminated. The story focuses on Mira Solice, a young woman with the ability to control others and create illusions. 

Her adoptive mother, Zenovia, can heal others. Convinced she was selected for a greater purpose, Zenovia believes the tainted had been chosen by a righteous being. Zenovia decides to aim for gaining more power in their country, wanting to use their abilities to become an unstoppable threat. To claim their destiny and rule over the masses.

While her mother actively tries to recruit others to share their beliefs, Mira struggles to maintain a facade of normalcy, keeping her powers hidden from those who would jump at the opportunity to kill people like them. Throughout the journey, she makes friends she deeply cares for. One day, Mira is provoked by Kyro Zhang, one of the kingdom's greatest fighters, renowned for his combat and magic defense skills. Kyro hates magic users. Magic users have historically harmed many innocent people in pursuit of their own goals. He vows to make any magic user an enemy, convinced that all tainted are a threat to the kingdom.

Mira must be careful in concealing her powers as she builds alliances and enemies alike. She must confront the reality of fighting to use her abilities for good or succumb to the dark side and dangers that come with them.
